Keratoses are hornification disorders occurring in the event of skin tending to dryness. The so-called “sandpaper skin” frequently occurs on the upper arms and legs. It may, however, also develop in face and is sometimes confused with a light acne. It is caused by small horny accumulations clogging the openings of the hair follicle. They appear as multiple, rough papules.

Smoothing Creme helps to counter inflammatory processes and diminishes hornification disorders occurring in the case of keratoses. The ingredients tailored to each other in a synergistic way improve skin’s barrier function and protect it against dryness.
